Avis Lothrop Room
Named after the original owner Thomas Gardner. He purchased the property in 1873 for the lofty sum of $300 and built the current house.
Frank Bryant, the third owner, added a second story to the original house in 1912. As the story goes, Mrs. Bryant's parents were so dissappointed when she was born a girl, they named her Frank anyway.
Avis Jackson Lothrop, the fifth owner, was sister to Hazel Brill Jackson, the sculptor/artist/poet who owned the Destiny Bay property and Western Head. Ms. Lothrop named the home "Tide Run" and many of her furnishings remain in the home today.

Our Check-In Time is 3 pm Our Check-Out Time is 11 am
We require a deposit equal to one night's stay seven days prior to check in. The remainder of the balance can be paid at check in. We will accept a personal check for the deposit, but we require either cash or credit card for the balance, which is payable at check-in.
Our cancellation policy requires seventy-two hour notice prior to date of arrival for refund of the deposit. Should you need to cancel, you must do so by phoning 207-259-3331.
